People who are using, or trying to use, self-directed services often need more support than what is available through self-directed waivers and personal income.
That is why we are launching our Full Inclusion Fund. The Full Inclusion Fund gives micro grants directly to people with disabilities who need a small amount of financial assistance to make self-direction work for them — the resources they need either to begin or continue self-directing their services.
Micro grants from the Full Inclusion Fund might, for example, help someone pay the deposit they need to move into their own place or find and hire their own staff, or provide other small sums of money to make it possible for them to live fulfilling lives. By making it possible for people to overcome basic obstacles to self-direction, our Full Inclusion Fund will give people with disabilities the ability to live fully included lives of their own design.
